Gone but never forgotten: Shopping days with Helena

Yet another memory to share with my readers, all about those happy years with Helena and her family. Memories to treasure forever.

Helena was so much to me: friend, confidante, partner in crime, shopping assistant, and a lot more. I shall never forget her despite the fact that I do not see her as often anymore.

It is funny how circumstances often get in the way of friendship, or should I say that we are responsible for them doing just that. Nevertheless, they are memories forever and whenever we communicate it is like yesterday when
we went on one of our shopping trips.

Helena was probably the best shopping assistant that I have ever had. She looked out for me. She made sure that I was always professionally dressed for work. She knew exactly which colours I favoured and her choice of clothes for me was impeccable.

Helena never tried to force me to buy what I did not like. She was very honest when it came to telling me what looked good on me and what did not. She never allowed the sales staff to try and persuade me and at the end of a
wonderful shopping trip, we would come home loaded with bags of purchases. But not before we had enjoyed a sumptuous dinner accompanied by a lovely bottle of wine.
