It was not a very good day: When the cable box died

Well, I am not ashamed to tell you that I have probably never had a very good relationship with my good old cable box so a few months ago, when it died, I was very relieved.

This box has never been accessible for me. Whenever it stopped working I had a devil of a time getting it restarted and I always had to depend on sighted assistance. Most of the time it was my Super, Nick, who came to my rescue.

On this Friday morning, when Nick informed me that the box had died, I did not jump up and down for joy. I simply breathed a sigh of relief and did as he told me.

Nick unplugged the box, wounded up the cords, and packed it in a bag for me. Then I was off to the mall to get a replacement.

There is nothing worse for me than having to depend on sighted assistance to reset my cable box.
