Fighting with batteries: Difficult to find where to insert the battery

This is probably one of the more interesting and somewhat frustrating challenges for me: figuring out where to insert the batteries. 

In most cases it is obvious to me.  I use my sense of touch to help me locate the battery compartment but I can tell you that there are definitely times when, because of a very smooth surface, it is not easy.

Once I have located the compartment chamber, the rest is very easy.  What I need to remember is to take my time. More haste only leads to less speed. So less haste can only lead to faster results.
