A great experience: Mom's surprise on my plate

Sometimes it really does not take too much to surprise me, especially when it comes to enjoying food that I do not expect to be there on my plate. Such was the case a few months ago when Mom completely surprised me one lunchtime.

She did not tell me on this day and I usually have an idea what she is going to serve.  So just imagine when I sat down and proceeded to discover what was for lunch.

Mom was sitting in her chair close by and I could tell that she was watching me intently but I did not even stop to think why she was doing so and then I found out a few minutes later. 

As is my habit, I used my fork to poke around my plate and at first I missed it completely but on my second go around the plate I found it at 12 o'clock.  Oh yes, they were my favorite ribs!  Yum, yum!  That was my surprise for the day and both Mom and I enjoyed it all.
