My favourite time of the year: Another fall season

A memory:
Oh, yes, and fall 2022!  Nothing too much will change for this season except that I have to do some additional work at the office to get things ready for 2023.  I’ll continue to enjoy the cool weather, my pottery and my knitting, and as always to look to the Christmas season for 2022.

Thus far, the weather is not too bad; a bit of this and a bit of that.  From pleasant warm days to cooler ones.

Fall is probably my favourite season.  Followed by spring, then winter, then summer.

My heart belongs: This is my home

My home is not my roots!  My home lies far away from my roots and I thank God every day for my home!

My home is Canada!  A country with so very much to offer: four distinct seasons, opportunities abound, and possibilities are for the taking!

It is the country where I literally grew up and found my feet.  Where I discovered who I was and what I wanted to do with my life!  A country that taught me so much and helped to shape my path in life!

Spring, summer, fall, and winter!  I love them all and I see the goodness in each season!  I take advantage of the rich cultures and I embrace opportunities to help make things better for others.

This is my home!

Peeping at some treasured memories

I can truly tell you that my virtual scrap book, as I call it, is stuffed to over-bulging with all kinds of memories. As a matter of fact, this poor old scrap book is divided into individual volumes based on times and places. I have preserved them very carefully in my mind and can recall them at a moment's notice. They have served me very well over the years and will remain with me until I leave this world.

I am so happy that I have been able to do this because were it not for my virtual scrap book, I would probably go crazy now that my sight is gone and I am no longer able to see my favorite things.

Winter, spring, summer or fall, the memories are there for me. Snowflakes, a huge ice rink, and Christmas lights winking back at me as I skate. Spring, and blooming flowers, thick green grass, swaying trees, and birds and butterflies playing in their own world. Summer, and kids wading around in shallow ponds, sun peeping through the trees, blue skies with puffy white clouds sailing noiselessly by, and a sandy beach and a jade green ocean with boats gleaming in the sun. Fall and the red and orange leaves littering the ground and yellow ones about to fall from the trees.

These are my memories forever. Memories that I can recall whenever I want.

This is a personal message from author Donna Jodhan
"If you either are or have been a victim of crime, violence, abuse, or bullying, and if you are simply tired of being bombarded with audios and scenes of the above, then I am asking for your support. I have written and recorded audio mysteries that are completely void of vivid descriptions of sex, crime, and violence because I firmly believe that it is time for us to use the spoken word to help influence our kids to start listening to content that is clean and healthy. By doing this we can all do our part to tackle crime in a positive and meaningful way and it only costs pennies per day. Visit my online store at www.donnajodhan.com/store.html.
I thank you and your kids will also thank you!"

Remembering seasons through color

There used to be a time when I could enjoy the colors of the various seasons and it is what I use now to help me remember each of our four seasons. So here goes.

I remember springtime by recalling the colors of yellow, red, green, purple, and blue. I remember summer through the colors of blue, green, red, purple, and white. I remember fall through the colors of red, orange, and brown. I remember winter through the colors of white.

So you may be asking what these colors represent to me. Blue is for sky. White is either for puffy white clouds or white snow. Red is for flowers or falling leaves. Orange is also for falling leaves. Green is for grass and yellow is for sun. Brown is for those dried leaves that cover the ground. Purple is for an early dawn.
