Gone but never forgotten: Rest in peace Auntie

I don't think that anyone would protest too much if I were to describe my departed auntie Enid as having possessed a very interesting personality. There are many words that I can use to describe her but for now I'll stick with these.

Kind and generous at times. Strict and firm most of the time. Conscientious to almost perfection. She was almost always punctual and was always quick with a response.

Auntie took life and her job very seriously and she expected others to do the same. Some would describe her as quiet at times and even a bit shy but under that facade lay a lady who knew exactly what she was about.

Auntie was never afraid to speak her mind and at times her firm hand and quick mind left many in the dust.

She was my godmother and great supporter. She always made sure that I was not left out at social functions and made sure that I always had enough to eat.

She is gone now but will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, Auntie!
