They sure hurt! When setbacks become painful

There is no doubt that setbacks will always be a part of our lives.  The trick is doing our best to deal with them.  Some setbacks are more serious than others, whether or not you are vision-impaired or mainstream.

For me, as a vision-impaired person, those setbacks that involve the failure or faltering of technology at the wrong time or at an unexpected time are the worst.  The personal setbacks are, of course, also quite shaky but it all depends on the type of personal setback.

Family setbacks are naturally very difficult but for now I’ll just focus on the technology setbacks.  The thing is that when these occur, I need to scramble to find sighted assistance from those who can truly help.  I just need to learn how to take things in stride as much as I can.

I'm Donna J. Jodhan, your friendly sight-loss coach and accessibility advisor, wishing you a terrific day.
