Irritants: Those feisty lizards

These stubborn little critters are not just stubborn!  They are very bold, persistent, and have no problem pestering anyone and everyone around them.

They come out mainly at night and make irritating noises. In order to stop them I either shout at them , raise my hands, or clap loudly. They stop immediately but here is the problem! They resume their noisy irritation after a few minutes.

What to do? I am still thinking.

Not very fond of them: Lizards in my way

I can honestly say that I do not like them and they probably do not like me.  Each time I visit Mom in the Caribbean, I have to put up with them.

They simply love to disturb me whenever I am lying on the couch in Mom’s living room or they come early in the morning to disturb my sleep.  No, I cannot see them but they make me aware of their presence when they make loud clapping sounds and they do this by coming very close to my head.

If I am quick enough I either shout at them or clap my hands and they just run away.  They crawl along walls and jump from wall to wall.  They are very fast and although Mom keeps telling me that they are harmless, I still do not appreciate their presence.

Ah, yes!  Just another irritant for me to overcome.

They are nothing but a pain! Dealing with those persistent lizards

For me it is very difficult to deal with these creatures who do not seem to know when they are not welcomed!

I remember once seeing what they looked like as they crawled along the banister of our balcony and that was quite enough for me. Today, I can no longer see them but I can certainly hear them!

They make a clapping sound when they are around us. I do my best to chase them away by either shouting at them or clapping my hands whenever I hear them. Sometimes it works but at other times it does not.

For me it is extremely difficult to deal with situations where I have no idea what is close by and I only discover something whenever a noise is made.

Lizards are definitely not my favorite friends. They are not welcomed and I just want them to go away.

A great memory: Mom and the lizards

Never mind that Mom really does not appreciate having those lizards come too close to her, this is how I also feel.  I cannot see them so I allow my imagination to take over whenever I sense that they are close.

How do I know that they are nearby?  First off, they make a sort of a clacking sound when they are close by and then there is good old Mom!  She normally shrieks and runs away whenever she sees any of them.

She may be opening the door to any of her kitchen or pantry cupboards or she may be in her garden or she may even be in her laundry room when they appear.  I am usually not too far away and her protestations are followed by her reaching for her spray can to spray them.

I usually find all of this very funny and humorous but truth be told I am sure glad that I cannot see these lizards.  I can only use my imagination to figure out what is happening.
