Those outdoor spas: At the spa

I am not sure if anything can be done about this but after having visited spas in Ontario and Quebec I can only say this.

I love them and enjoy them. Staff are super helpful, welcoming, and friendly.
However, I just am so very intimidated by those stairs.

Will I continue to visit spas? Most definitely.

A truly tremendous experience: Navigating Jilla's house

I can tell you that I thoroughly enjoyed navigating Jilla's house when I visited her in London, England at the end of January 2019.  In short, it was an experience to remember.

With Jilla acting as tour guide and her family to watch over me, it was not as intimidating as I had first thought it would be.  Jilla had warned me about all of the steps that I would need to navigate and as a vision-impaired person I felt that I would need to be extra careful. But everything worked out just fine.

I enjoyed going up and down the steps and learning how to hold on and walk sideways.  I enjoyed the challenge and I always knew that Jilla and her family would be there to catch me if I ever ran into difficulty.

Jilla and her family were simply super when it came to showing me the way. An experience to cherish and keep forever.

A refreshing way to communicate: Communicating from the top

This is a technique that Mom and I have perfected at her house.  You see, whenever I visit Mom at her home there are these 17 stairs that I need to interact with.

These are steep steps and I need to ensure that whenever we go out I let Mom descend the steps first, give her enough time to get to the bottom, and then I descend knowing that I am not going to knock her over.

So, how does this all work?  When she gets to the bottom she shouts, "Okay," but while on her way down, as she descends, she uses her ring to knock on the railing of the steps as she goes.  This helps to give me a fair idea as to where she is.  This technique sure works for us both.
