A definite challenge: When the ball of wool went haywire

This is what happened to me when I decided to do some knitting during the summer of 2016.  I had carefully packed my knitting needles and wool into a bag and off I went.

All was going well until I discovered that something was not right. There were knots in the wool and I seemed to have been finding two ends to the wool instead of only seeing one end.

Then stitches began to go astray and things just simply went from bad to worse.  My poor mom decided to help me and spent hours trying to unravel the wool.  This worked for a bit but then the same old problem returned and before long I decided to abandon ship, so to speak.

Throughout the summer I kept glancing into my knitting bag from time to time to see if I could solve the problem but no go. I was really sorry.

Upon my return to home in Toronto I went to knitting class and my teacher, Robbie, quickly found the reason for my having gotten into trouble. The wool had snagged on the sticky ends of an empty package of needles. Ouch!  I had no idea and now I am much more careful when putting away my knitting.
