Those outdoor spas: At the spa

I am not sure if anything can be done about this but after having visited spas in Ontario and Quebec I can only say this.

I love them and enjoy them. Staff are super helpful, welcoming, and friendly.
However, I just am so very intimidated by those stairs.

Will I continue to visit spas? Most definitely.

Just another way: Removing the nail polish

I think that I simply stumbled across this very easy solution out of pure luck.

Some time after I had been to the spa with my friend Gabriella to have our nails done, the nail polish had begun to flake off and I had asked my mom how I should remove it. She suggested that I should use some polish remover to do the job but for the lazy person that I can be at times, I decided to seek an easier way.

So, one night while lying in bed, I used my nails to remove it. For example, I took a fingernail from the left hand to remove all of the polish on each of the fingers of my right hand and then I repeated the process for the left hand. It worked.

At least I was able to do this quite easily and quickly and the polish came off quite easily. I simply had to use my sense of touch to do the trick.

A truly wonderful experience: At the spa with Gabriella

As part of her birthday present to me, my dear friend Gabriella took me to a spa; my very first visit and what a wonderful experience!

We walked into such a warm and inviting environment where the attendants were so very helpful to me as a vision-impaired person and I never had to prompt or tell them that I had very limited vision.

They guided me all the way around their chairs. They kept me informed at each step as to what they were doing and were going to do. They spoke to me all of the time and were so very friendly!

I would recommend this wonderful spa in the Bridlewood Mall if you are looking for first class manicures and pedicures!

Happy times: At the spa with Gabriella

It was the very first time that I had been to a spa and this wonderful experience took place in early February 2017.  Gabriella and I had traveled to the St. Anne’s Spa in Ontario and we spent a day and a night there.

Thank goodness that she was with me because I am pretty sure that as a vision-impaired person I would have found it difficult to navigate the facilities.  I would say that the staff were extremely accommodating and always willing to assist. But with facilities that did not seem to be designed with persons with disabilities in mind, that was the main drawback.

The waiters and waitresses were extremely attentive and this definitely helped to make my visit a very enjoyable one.  In addition, Gabriella made sure that at all times I knew what was going on around me.

All told, a great and wonderful experience!
