My moments of roaming around the kitchen with Mom are absolutely priceless
I wait patiently for her to tell me that she wants to do something. Then she rises out of her chair and holding tightly to her walker, she moves quickly to her kitchen and there begins our adventures.
I follow very closely behind her and listen attentively as she gives me instructions. I go to the cupboards to fetch whatever she wants. I go into the fridge and the freezer to retrieve whatever she wishes. Then together we get things done.
Mom knows exactly what she wants to do and I am just the second in command. Her instructions are very clear and direct. I chop, wash dishes, hand her things, and stand close to her. I cut vegetables, retrieve utensils out of her drawers, and wipe down her island and her sink.
She toodles around with her walker and boy, oh boy is she ever very precise. Mom knows where everything is and is very determined to ensure that things are placed as she wants them to be. What a Mom!
